“I am inspired by the beauty of the natural world, and love finding creative ways to express my awe of our environment. The Seasons in Kaleidoscope series was stimulated by the gorgeous colours of foliage throughout the year. The abstract pattern reminds me of sand mandalas or stained glass and through these paintings, I try to represent the meditative and spiritual quality of nature I feel. I later discovered that the origin of the word kaleidoscope is from the Greek kalos (beautiful), eidos (form), and scope (observe): I love being an observer of beautiful forms!"
